Autograff vs AutoLeap.

AutoLeap bills its AI receptionist by the call. Autograff builds it into the plan.

AutoLeap is an established platform and it moved early on AI phone handling. The difference is how it's sold. AIR is a separate subscription from the shop management software, priced by how many calls it takes: $99 a month for 200 calls, $199 for 500, then $0.75 for every call after that, plus a setup fee that may apply. So the busier your phone gets, the more your phone costs, and the weeks you most need it answered are the weeks it costs the most. Then there's the part you can't budget for at all. AutoLeap's own pricing page confirms a one-time setup fee without saying what it is, and there's no trial, so you find out in a sales call. ShopOS runs the whole shop on two plans with nothing sold as a module. Pro is $350 a month with the voice agent included, no call allowance, no overages, no setup fee, and AI insights on top. Here's the honest side by side.

Comparing more than these two? The 2026 auto repair shop software buyer's guide sets AutoLeap beside five other systems on pricing, setup and migration fees, and fit.

What we do differently.

Both systems run a shop end to end, and AutoLeap's onboarding gets consistently good reviews. What we did differently was refuse to make the phone a separate line item, because the phone isn't an add-on to running a shop. It is running a shop.

Why a call meter is the wrong shape for a repair shop

Per-call pricing sounds fair until you look at when the calls actually arrive.

  1. Your phone isn't flat, and neither is the bill

Monday morning after a weekend of breakdowns. The first cold snap. The week a fleet sends four vans in at once. Those are the weeks the allowance runs out, and the weeks you can least afford a surprise.

  2. You end up deciding which calls are worth paying for

Once a call has a price on it, that's a decision you have to keep making, and it's a strange one to be making about customers trying to reach you. Narrow the hours to protect the allowance and the AI only catches what nobody was going to answer anyway, which is a smaller product than the one you bought. On a flat price there's no decision, because there's no meter.

  3. See your real number first

Before comparing either price, work out what the calls you're already missing are worth. Run yours through the ShopOS ROI calculator.

Switching from AutoLeap without losing your history

Nothing starts from zero on day one. Years of customer relationships shouldn't be the reason a shop stays where it is.

  • Customer records

Every customer, carried over. Names, contact info and vehicles all migrate together, nothing typed in twice.

  • Vehicle history

Service history and vehicle info, the full record an advisor needs before they even pick up the phone.

  • Parts catalog

Your existing catalog comes with you. Stock levels, minimum-stock thresholds, cost, pricing and markup rules, all intact.

Frequently asked questions

How much does AutoLeap cost?
AutoLeap publishes three tiers: Essentials at $199/month, Pro at $349/month and Elite at $449/month, each discounted when billed annually to $179, $309 and $409. Enterprise is custom priced. AutoLeap AIR, the AI receptionist, is billed separately on top. Autograff Base has no software subscription when you use ShopOS Payments, and Pro is $350/month, or $300/month with an annual contract, for the whole team, with the voice agent included on Pro and nothing billed on top.
What's included in Autograff's price?
ShopOS has two plans, no per-seat fees, no add-ons. Base runs the shop: estimating, invoicing, parts inventory, scheduling, CRM. Pro adds the AI receptionist and AI insights, with no call allowance and no per-call charge. AutoLeap sells its AI receptionist as a metered subscription separate from the platform.
Is AutoLeap AIR included in AutoLeap's price?
No. AIR is a separate subscription. $99 a month covers 200 calls, $199 a month covers 500, and calls beyond the allowance are $0.75 each. There's also a pay as you go option at $1 per call, and the pricing page notes a $100 setup fee may apply. With Autograff, the voice agent comes with Pro and isn't metered by call volume at all.
Does AutoLeap have a setup fee or require an annual contract?
AutoLeap's own pricing FAQ answers yes to setup fees and describes what the one-time fee covers, but doesn't state the amount, so you can't budget for it until you're already in a sales conversation. The same FAQ confirms there's no free trial of the platform. An annual contract isn't required, though: AutoLeap publishes both, at $179, $309 and $409 a month billed annually against $199, $349 and $449 billed monthly. Autograff is monthly with no setup fee, and you can cancel anytime.
Does AutoLeap have digital vehicle inspections?
Yes, with a tier split: AutoLeap reserves its next-gen inspections and some reporting for its higher plans. ShopOS includes digital vehicle inspections on both Base and Pro, so photo findings and one-tap customer approval are not a reason to move up a tier.
Will I lose my data if I switch from AutoLeap?
No. Customer records, vehicle history and your parts catalog all come across as part of onboarding, so you're not starting over on day one.
