Tekmetric is an established platform with a deep integration list. ShopOS runs the same shop floor: estimating, invoicing, parts inventory, scheduling and CRM, all included on both plans. The difference is what the price actually covers. On Tekmetric, marketing, multi-shop and tire are separate monthly modules, real-time dashboards and two-way texting sit on the Scale tier, a dedicated account manager is Enterprise-only, and a second location costs a full second plan plus a surcharge. For a shop that wants the real-time dashboard and the marketing module, Tekmetric Scale ($439) plus Marketing ($345) is $784/mo. Autograff Pro is $350, every user, calls answered. Run two locations and it widens: Tekmetric needs a plan for each location plus the Multi-Shop add-on at $70 per shop, so two shops on Scale is $1,018 a month. Autograff is one subscription per location with no surcharge, so two shops on Pro is $700 and two on Base is $0 when you use ShopOS Payments.

If you don't want the marketing module the gap narrows to $89 a month, and at that point price isn't the question. Tekmetric publishes three tiers: Start at $199/month, Grow at $349/month and Scale at $439/month, each discounted when billed annually to $179, $309 and $409. Enterprise is custom priced. Neither of us charges per seat, so the number that moves is the modules: Marketing, Multi-Shop and Tire Suite are separate monthly add-ons at $345, $70 and $39 per shop, on top of whichever tier you're on. Autograff Base has no software subscription when you use ShopOS Payments, and Pro is $350/month, or $300/month with an annual contract, for the whole team, with nothing sold on top of either plan.

What's the cheapest way to run Tekmetric?

Two-way texting, the real-time dashboard, the technician board and employee analytics are all Scale-tier features at $409 to $439, and marketing is a further $345/month per shop whichever tier you're on. ShopOS Base has no software subscription when you use ShopOS Payments, with every shop-management feature included and nothing to add later.
Does Tekmetric have an AI receptionist?
Not as part of the platform. Tekmetric covers customer communication through messaging and digital authorizations, but calls still need a person to answer them, or a third-party answering tool bolted on. Autograff's AI receptionist comes with Pro at no extra cost, with no separate subscription and no per-call charge.
Does Tekmetric have digital vehicle inspections?
Yes. Inspection workflows are one of Tekmetric's strengths. Its two-way texting, which is how many shops send inspection results to the customer, is on the Scale tier ($439/month) only. ShopOS includes digital vehicle inspections on Base and Pro: photo findings go to the customer, who approves the work in one tap. The difference between the two products is less the inspection than what happens around it, such as who answers the phone when that customer calls back.
Will I lose my data if I switch from Tekmetric?
No. Customer records, vehicle history and your parts catalog all come across as part of onboarding, so you're not starting over on day one.
